Responsibilities
Provide individual and/or couples/family counseling in the office or through telehealth
Develop and implement one or more counseling groups
Perform initial evaluations of client needs
Develop customized treatment plans
Diagnose mental and emotional disorders
Coordinate with social and medical agencies, healthcare providers and community outreach programs to provide clients with needed services
Complete continuing education courses to maintain Illinois state licensure certification and stay up to date on the latest practices
Participate in networking opportunities
Required Skills
Ability to build rapport with clients; warm, engaging and professional
Evening and weekend availability
Possesses excellent interpersonal communication skills
Able to work independently and collaboratively
Ability to multitask, prioritize and is dependable and reliable.
Positive, optimistic attitude that embraces flexibility and change
Private practice experience preferred by not required
A speciality or area of interest is strongly desired
LGBTQIA+ affirming
Possesses self-knowledge
Provides trauma-informed psychotherapy or counseling
Education and License
Master's Degree
LPC, LCPC, LCSW, LMFT or Clinical Psychologist or eligible to sit for their profession's exam
