LPC, LCPC, LCSW, LMFT or Clinical Psychologist or eligible to sit for their profession's exam

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and/or couples/family counseling in the office or through telehealth

• Develop and implement one or more counseling groups

• Perform initial evaluations of client needs

• Develop customized treatment plans

• Diagnose mental and emotional disorders

• Coordinate with social and medical agencies, healthcare providers and community outreach programs to provide clients with needed services

• Complete continuing education courses to maintain Illinois state licensure certification and stay up to date on the latest practices

• Participate in networking opportunities

Required Skills

• Ability to build rapport with clients; warm, engaging and professional

• Evening and weekend availability

• Possesses excellent interpersonal communication skills

• Able to work independently and collaboratively

• Ability to multitask, prioritize and is dependable and reliable.

• Positive, optimistic attitude that embraces flexibility and change

• Private practice experience preferred by not required

• A speciality or area of interest is strongly desired

• LGBTQIA+ affirming

• Possesses self-knowledge

• Provides trauma-informed psychotherapy or counseling

Education and License

• Master's Degree

• LPC, LCPC, LCSW, LMFT or Clinical Psychologist or eligible to sit for their profession's exam
