COVID-19 PRECAUTIONS

In-Office Sessions

While we have a waiting area, we are currently not using it. We are asking clients who have an appointment in the office to wait outside the building or in the their car. Your counselor will call you shortly before your appointment and ask some quick health screening questions before entering the building.

At this time, we do require clients to wear a face covering while in the building and during their session. We also encourage you to wash your hands or use hand sanitizer.

Frequently touched surfaces are routinely disinfected. We also regularly open the windows to help circulate the air in the office.

Along the Path Counseling, P.C. has taken the Clean Hands, Open Doors Pledge. In addition to requiring face coverings, cleaning hands, sanitizing surfaces, and practicing social distancing we have also promised to adhere to Public Health Guidelines issued by the Centers for Disease Control, the Illinois Department of Public Health and the Winnebago Health Department.  To find out more information about the pledge go here.

If you have been exposed to COVID-19 or are experiencing symptoms, we ask that you stay home. It is also recommend that you get tested. If you are feeling well enough to still have your counseling session, contact your counselor or the main number 815-397-4287 option 1 and ask to change your session to Telehealth.

Telehealth is an available option and we hope that it remains an option going forward. Being able to provide telehealth sessions has helped make counseling more accessible for many people. In addition, most insurance companies are now covering this service.
